Career Opportunities:

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for automating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services. You will manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency and guide software releases for new features. You will also ensure system security, troubleshoot system-related problems, and recommend future directions or projects to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate platform service installations, configurations, and maintenance
  • Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency
  • Guide software releases for new features and support users through consolidation
  • Ensure system security and execute practices and procedures
  • Troubleshoot system-related problems
  • Recommend future directions or projects to management

Requirements:

  • 5 years of IT and/or software experience
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred)
  • Participated in or led agile development teams
  • In-depth understanding of DevOps methodologies
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration tools such as Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity
  • Experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi / NSX-T
  • Networking and related technologies (e.g., load balancing / DNS / SSL / firewalls / NAT / SDN)
  • Git and release management experience
  • SRE practices and competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and OpenStack
  • Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, BOSH, or related automation/orchestration tools
  • Platform as a Service product experience (e.g., Cloud Foundry, Heroku, Elastic Beanstalk)
  • Systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics experience (e.g., Prometheus, New Relic, AppDynamics)

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
