Catalent Inc is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Development Technician to join our team in Somerset, NJ. As a Pharmaceutical Development Technician, you will play a critical role in the development, optimization, and execution of early-stage development and clinical batches manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Operate lab and pilot-scale equipment, focusing on Controlled Release and Hot Melt Extrusion technologies.
- Set up, operate, changeover, and clean core equipment, adhering to strict regulations such as cGMPs and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Formulations Research & Development (FR&D) and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of development batches.
- Participate in development batch manufacturing, in-process sampling, and testing for oral solid formulations.
- Develop and implement process improvements and safety measures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Anticipate and address potential issues to prevent downtime and ensure quality.
- High School Degree or GED, with an Associate's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing, with a strong understanding of GMP standards and requirements.
- Specific experience in oral solid dosage manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: blending, Hot Melt Extrusion, compression, pan coating, fluid bed spraying, granulation, milling, weighing, or encapsulation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to anticipate critical customer issues.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a strong understanding of SOPs and cGMPs.
- Mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
