Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Ohio Gratings. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating metal grating products with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout, assemble, and weld various grating product lines according to job travelers and drawings.
  • Operate overhead and jib cranes safely to move and place grating panels.
  • Use power tools, including saws, presses, grinders, cutting torches, and welders, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and time sheets to manage inventory effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify when maintenance is required.
  • Read, understand, and execute instructions on job travelers and procedures.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections to identify faulty welds.
  • Keep personal and common work areas clean and organized.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • MIG Welding, Oxy/Fuel Torch, and plasma cutting torch experience with Carbon, Stainless Steel, and/or Aluminum.
  • AWS certifications in D1.1, D1.5, D1.6, and/or D1.2.
  • Knowledge of Welding 101, weld symbols, and filet weld gauges.
  • Experience with complex fit-up and fixturing.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings and demonstrate troubleshooting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience with a Steel, Stainless Steel, or Aluminum Manufacturer.
  • Fabrication training and/or experience.
  • Stick welding experience.
  • Forklift and electric pallet jack experience.
Work Environment

The work environment requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold on a regular basis.
