Key Responsibilities of the RN / Charge Nurse:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and overseeing nursing care, services, and health education for residents.
- Oversee the care provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members
- Administer safe and precise medication-related interventions
- Evaluate residents' health and inform physicians of any changes; promptly execute new orders
- Formulate a care plan based on assessments and implement nursing interventions
- Select and apply appropriate nursing measures to stabilize residents' conditions and prevent complications
- Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and care plan development
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state
- CPR certification
