After School Program Assistant

Job Summary:
The After School Program Worker will assist students, staff, and visitors in maintaining an efficient, courteous, and orderly environment. This role is responsible for supporting the After School Program Coordinator in planning and implementing student activities, maintaining records, and ensuring student safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with roll call to ensure accountability for all students.
- Assist in planning and implementing student activities for assigned classes.
- Maintain proper records and assist in the distribution of snacks.
- Actively supervise students during daily activities.
- Maintain expectations for students' behavior and safety and inform the Assistant Coordinator of difficulties requiring disciplinary action.
- Attend and participate in After School Program staff meetings and required training sessions.
- Maintain a good attendance record and make the Assistant Coordinator aware when needing to be absent.
- Follow appropriate procedures for emergencies such as student or staff health concerns, severe weather, suspected fire, or facility issues.
- Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Benefits:
This is a temporary assignment with payment based on hours worked, and as work is available, with no eligibility or seniority for employee benefits. All employees are eligible to participate in the CCSD 403(b) or 457(b) retirement savings account.
