The role of the Shift Process Engineer within Manufacturing Development is pivotal in supporting fabrication processes at the forefront of technological advancement. This team is dedicated to enhancing process quality, driving yield and efficiency improvements, reducing costs, and resolving manufacturing line challenges.

Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
  • Complete all mandatory safety training and conduct work in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Establish and uphold a secure working environment.
  • Conduct safety audits and walkthroughs.
  • Consistently support established safety and quality procedures.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement and problem-solving efforts.
  • Identify and address training needs or procedural gaps.
  • Ensure the accuracy of task updates and handovers.
  • Manage queue time alerts and assist in coordinating lot ordering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain safety training and adhere to environmental sustainability guidelines.
  • Address yield, quality, defect, and equipment-related challenges.
  • Utilize SPC, FDC, and 8D methodologies to diagnose and resolve process issues.
  • Analyze data through various applications and engineering expertise to make informed process decisions.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex process challenges.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings; track action items and ensure timely resolution.
  • Execute project work aimed at optimizing wafer processing.
  • Be prepared to work any shift on a rotating schedule, accommodating flexibility as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required: MS or BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or semiconductor experience; other engineering or related fields may also be considered.
  • Genuine interest in advanced technology and a strong desire to learn.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Efficiently utilize available resources and seek assistance from peers or management to overcome obstacles.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate across various functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working efficiently with diverse teams and partners.
  • Adaptable to changing job responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities to meet business requirements.
  • Proficient in one or more scripting, programming, and visualization tools: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a strong grasp of data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience or knowledge in data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing.
  • Hands-on experience in data analytics, particularly in querying databases.
