Job Summary
We are seeking a highly-skilled and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver quality and compassionate nursing care in our critical care step-down unit. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute and/or chronic diagnoses.

About the Job
This team serves cardiology and medical/surgical patients who may require telemetry or bedside monitoring. As a registered nurse, you will monitor heart rhythms, titrate select drips, and utilize critical thinking to manage your patients' conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and patient care staff to create and implement individualized care plans that meet each patient's unique needs.

Responsibilities
* Deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient and family education
* Monitor heart rhythms, titrate select drips, and utilize critical thinking to manage patients' conditions
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
* Utilize computerized documentation systems to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate
* Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
* Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
* 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
* Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
