Job Summary:

Tel is seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team. As a Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting metrology and sensing products for state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Control Solutions: Design and implement control solutions based on optical CD & thin film metrology to ensure high-quality solutions for end customers worldwide.
  • Market Requirements: Understand market requirements, including performance, cost, and time constraints to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Tool Performance Optimization: Use advanced analysis techniques to improve tool performance and achieve process optimization.
  • New Product Evaluations: Conduct new product evaluations and characterizations and submit reports to the design engineering team.
  • Customer Support: Drive customer demos, and support market penetration of Tel's products.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to internal and external customers.
  • Field Escalation: Handle field escalation and help customers to overcome technical challenges.
  • Communication: Communicate efficiently on customer issues and CIP requests to the design engineering team.
  • Customer Relationships: Build strong customer relationships to ensure the continued success of Tel's products.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in engineering, physics, chemistry, or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three years experience as an applications engineer of optical CD & thin film metrology tools at semiconductor equipment or IC chip manufacturers.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of spectroscopic ellipsometry, reflectometry, scatterometry. Some scripting experience is preferred (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python).
  • Work Environment: Able to work in a clean room environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly motivated and dedicated to customer satisfaction. Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
