Job Title: Housekeeping General Cleaner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping General Cleaner to join our team at SMS Holdings. As a Housekeeping General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our premises, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, finish, and polish floors.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metalwork.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area.

Requirements:

Education/Experience: No prior experience or training.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.

Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills: No Computer skills needed.

Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.
