Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Reliability Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing chronic or critical equipment downtime issues, leading root cause analysis, and implementing countermeasures to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manufacturing Equipment Services Department leadership team to identify equipment or process downtime items
  • Lead priority trouble items to develop root cause analysis and implement countermeasures
  • Provide technical support for complex problem analysis and countermeasure implementation
  • Work with Manufacturing Characteristics and Standards (MCS) and Equipment Production (EPD) associates to improve equipment reliability
  • Develop improvement themes and provide input for regional improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 2-8 years of engineering work experience in Manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of automated equipment electrical hardware/software design, machine safety controls, and PLC/HMI
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic 2D and 3D CAD tools
