Core Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct asset criticality assessments to determine inspection needs based on risk.
  2. Develop corrosion loops and prepare inspection drawings, including CMLs and TMLs.
  3. Apply ASME design standards and API inspection standards (API-510, 570, 580, 581) effectively.
  4. Utilize NDT techniques and understand their relevance to corrosion assessments.
  5. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of damage mechanisms related to materials and processes.
  6. Create and maintain Corrosion Control Documents in accordance with API RP 970.
  7. Manage integrity data using systems such as PCMS, Meridium, and others.
  8. Oversee all corrosion-related data and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  9. Facilitate reviews and planning sessions focused on corrosion and risk management.
  10. Engage with both backend and frontend aspects of PCMS - Asset Integrity Module.
  11. Review deliverables to ensure adherence to corrosion principles and client standards.
  12. Guide team members in recognizing corrosion risks and safety considerations.
  13. Ensure all process-related data is accurate and up-to-date for risk assessments.
  14. Verify the application of damage mechanisms in the RBI calculator as provided by the Corrosion Subject Matter Expert.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a high school diploma/GED with a focus on Mechanical or Metallurgy.
  2. A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in a refinery setting as a corrosion engineer with an owner-operator.
  3. Strong understanding of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) and various NDE techniques (UT, RT, PT, AUT, PAUT, RTR).
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Experience in reviewing and interpreting technical documents such as P&IDs and engineering drawings.
