As a Registered Nurse, you will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach in a diverse workplace.
Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, you will employ evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Your role will involve utilizing your nursing expertise to formulate a care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
The Cardiology Nurse is tasked with delivering nursing care to both inpatient and outpatient populations, particularly those undergoing diagnostic cardiac procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit proficiency in nursing skills and execute nursing actions in accordance with established policies and protocols.
- Demonstrate technical skills in performing tilt table tests and cardiac stress tests.
- Systematically gather data regarding patients' health status based on scientific principles.
- Evaluate the educational needs of patients and families concerning their current health issues.
- Ensure the physical and psychological safety and comfort of patients and their families.
- Comply with risk management policies and procedures.
- React appropriately to actual or anticipated emergencies.
- Current RN License in Connecticut.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, particularly in Cardiology, Critical Care, or related cardiac specialties.
