Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Specialist to join our Asset Protection team. As a Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. You will be responsible for preventing and investigating theft, as well as responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Prevent and Investigate Theft: Conduct regular security patrols to prevent and detect theft, and investigate incidents of theft and shrinkage.
- Respond to Security Incidents: Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, and provide support to guests and team members as needed.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with team members to identify and address security concerns, and provide training and guidance on security procedures.
- Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment: Ensure that the store is maintained in a safe and secure manner, and that all security protocols are followed.
- Conduct Merchandise Recoveries: Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed, strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Submit Incident Reports: Submit accurate and timely incident reports, and provide supporting documentation as required.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Train and develop team members on security procedures and protocols, and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
- Communication Skills: Must have effective communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to climb up and down ladders, apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy, and scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
