The Department of Pediatrics at CHRISTUS Health is seeking a highly skilled pediatric emergency medicine physician to enhance our Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic emergency department setting, managing a wide array of pediatric cases, from the routine to the complex. Our pediatric emergency room, equipped with 44 beds, accommodates around 70,000 patient visits each year and is designated as a Level 3 trauma center. Our team of physicians is complemented by Advanced Practice Providers to facilitate optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering care to critically ill and injured pediatric patients in an emergency department environment
- Instructing fellows, residents, and medical students in pediatric emergency medicine
- Leading the section and managing its administrative functions
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: M.D./DO degree with specialized training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Licensure: Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board or eligible for licensure
- Certification: Board certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics or eligible for certification
- Current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
