About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Manager to join our team at Food City. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading by example, and driving sales through effective merchandising and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide and promote exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience for our customers.
  • Team Management: Lead by example, set the standard for customer service, associate relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and overall profitability.
  • Inventory and Labor Management: Manage inventory and labor costs in the department through proper sales projection planning and effective staffing.
  • Training and Development: Provide Food Service Department associates with training and development in required skills and areas of job responsibilities.
  • Marketing and Merchandising: Implement and enforce all marketing programs and merchandising plans, including plan-o-grams.
  • Department Operations: Ensure work schedules are posted timely and per company requirements, complete all department paperwork, and maintain a clean and safe department according to company standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3 years' experience in Food Service Department operations.
  • Skills: Ability to resolve differences and diffuse difficult situations through diplomatic means, knowledge of various training methods, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and ability to lead by example to give Food City customers their best shopping experience.
