Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney

Gpac is a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for representing clients in matters related to property insurance claims. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that clients receive the compensation they deserve. This role requires a deep understanding of property insurance policies, litigation processes, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal representation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in 1st party property insurance claims, including but not limited to residential and commercial property damage claims.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of insurance policies, claim documents, and relevant case law.
  • Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in property insurance law and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in first party property law.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Experience with both residential and commercial property insurance claims.
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Experience in trial litigation.
