Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Operations Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our primary care clinic. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring streamlined workflows, exceptional patient care, and the highest levels of staff performance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of operational management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams. Strong skills in conflict resolution, strategic planning, and problem-solving are essential. Additionally, adaptability, flexibility, and exceptional communication skills are necessary for success in this role.

This position involves overseeing daily clinic operations, managing staff schedules, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies. The successful candidate will be able to analyze operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Leadership & Development:
    • Recruit, train, and retain top clinical and administrative talent.
    • Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and implement development plans.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows and timely patient care.
    • Manage staff schedules and clinic attendance to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Exceptional Patient Experience:
    • Address patient concerns with respect, urgency, and a focus on delivering an excellent experience.
    • Advocate for patients to ensure their journey meets the highest standards of care.
  • Facility & Resource Management:
    • Maintain inventory levels and ensure medical equipment is functioning properly.
    • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, safe, and conducive to quality care.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Manage clinic financial operations, including intake, banking, and cost control.
  • Growth & Business Development:
    • Support clinic growth initiatives through capacity planning and schedule optimization.
    • Build strong relationships with vendors and external partners to enhance operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of operational management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to pivot strategies as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and tools such as Microsoft Suite and Phreesia.
