Aperia Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation tire inflation products and scale-up of the Halotm Connect and related products.
This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience in product development, ideally in the automotive or high-volume, high-reliability industry.
The successful candidate will assume a lead role on an agile team, responsible for the architecture, design, integration, validation, and release of embedded electronic assemblies for use in automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine system and product requirements with adjacent engineering and business disciplines.
- Architect embedded automotive systems utilizing a wide range of technologies.
- Formulate and execute on design and validation strategies for complex electromechanical systems.
- Lead and participate in hands-on activities of design simulation, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, board bring up, debug, and validation.
- Mentor and collaborate with less experienced engineers to foster a growth and development team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering, Master's preferred, and 15 years of experience in product development.
- Demonstrated design experience with low power architectures, primary batteries, secondary batteries, MEMS sensors, power management, CAN, SPI, I2C, and implementation of radios and antennas for 433 MHz ISM, BLE, LTE, and GPS.
- Deep expertise with PCBA design tools, Altium preferred, and design simulation tools and lab test equipment.
- Firmware background is a plus, with ability to translate electrical performance and functional requirements into documentation that is implementable in firmware.
What We Offer
A competitive salary range of $140,000-$170,000, with additional compensation including equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401-k, and long-term disability insurance.
