Job Summary:

At Alliance Orthopedics, we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic multidisciplinary practice. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with medical doctors, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to identify priority care needs and consult with the interdisciplinary team regarding findings.
• Perform procedures necessary to implement a plan of care based on established standards and protocols.
• Develop and revise patient plans of care across the continuum, exercising discretion when necessary.
• Provide safe and therapeutic care to facilitate patients' achievement of desired outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities according to documentation standards and contribute to performance improvement initiatives through medical record review.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and assist in resolving conflicts among healthcare team members, patients, and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and incorporate their expertise to achieve patient outcomes.
• Serve as a change agent by implementing practice initiatives and coordinating patient care activities to maximize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate the assessment of patients' learning needs and access resources from all disciplines to achieve patient outcomes.
• Lead quality improvement processes, recognizing trends in patient populations and exploring alternatives to care.
• Assist in the development and revision of standards for patient populations, incorporating an interdisciplinary approach and utilizing best practices and research findings.
• Recognize behaviors that impact team function and implement strategies to optimize teamwork, serving as a mentor for team members.
• Review and update self-development plans and professional goals, seeking new knowledge to progress professionally and demonstrating evidence of self-development through participation in educational programs.

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey Physician Assistant License
• Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) through The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Degree from accredited academic program (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant)(ARC-PA)
• 1-3 years experience as a Certified Physician Assistant
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, especially the ability to show compassion for patients from diverse backgrounds
• Prescriptive authorization within 30 days of hire
• Willingness to challenge patients, other team members, and oneself
