Job Summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Specialist to provide technical support for all refrigeration problems to assigned retail stores. The ideal candidate will reside in the Sanford or Greensboro, NC areas.


Key Responsibilities

1. Installs and replaces compressors and cases in new and/or remodeled stores, ensuring optimal refrigeration performance.


2. Conducts regular checks and adjustments of refrigerator temperatures and pressures to maintain a safe and efficient cooling environment.


3. Performs mechanical repairs, including washing condensers and cases, welding, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigerant leak detection and repair, to ensure store equipment is in good working condition.


4. Safely operates a service van to travel to necessary locations, providing timely and effective support to assigned stores.


5. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the Lowes Foods team.



Requirements

1. Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license and good driving record.


2. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of hand tools, gauges, pressure washers, torches, and meters.


3. Has gained knowledge and experience in commercial refrigeration, preferably in the supermarket industry, through 2 to 4 years of experience.


4. Exhibits excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with store personnel and management.


5. Is physically capable of climbing ladders up to 24 feet and maintaining balance when necessary.


6. Can lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds consistently, with the ability to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
