Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel opportunity in Bangor, Maine.
Job SummaryThis position requires a highly qualified technologist to work in a 400-bed level 1 trauma hospital with a strong focus on interventional radiology and cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleAs an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a high-volume trauma setting while working with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining protocols, positioning them correctly, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy machines and angiography units, to capture high-quality images.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and provide clear, concise documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict safety protocols and infection control measures.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with imaging equipment and software
The estimated salary for this position is $28,000-$32,000 per month, depending on the number of hours worked and shift length. Additional benefits include:
