Job Summary

As a Software Product Manager at Tesla, you will be responsible for overseeing the product development lifecycle from inception to launch. This includes prioritizing features, defining requirements, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver a scalable architecture that meets current needs and considers future growth scenarios.

Responsibilities

* Prioritize between existing customers versus new customers, and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence
* Define a set of KPIs and monitor success metrics through SQL-powered Tableau dashboards and have the ability to analyze and utilize them in the decision-making processes
* Conduct user research and contribute to the design of software. Push for high reliability and responsiveness from a systems and user satisfaction perspective
* Manage the implementation and ongoing success of software products, including (re)defining requirements, sprint planning, and release management
* Work with Engineering teams to deliver a scalable architecture that not just meets current needs, but considers future growth scenarios
* Oversee the product development lifecycle from inception to launch, with an ability to prioritize the most important features to maximize impact
* Lead stakeholder discussions for overall vision and translate them into detailed requirements, user stories, and actionable tasks, then feedback Engineering discussions to refine them as well as work cross-functionally with Business, internal users, Engineering, UX Design to define and drive product vision and strategy

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent in experience
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions. Proficiency with data analytics using SQL, Pandas, Tableau, and/or similar tools
* Ability to successfully work with a cross range of teams including Engineering, UX, and Operations
* Proven history of converting learnings from customer insights into tangible reports and product features that customers love
* Good understanding and working experience in technology development best practices (such as, Agile, etc.) and product management technologies
* Real world pragmatism to effectively drive improvements that get successfully implemented and add value to Tesla
* Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

Expected Compensation

$108,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
