Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Supervisor will oversee the daily operations and performance of the Thompson Placement Stability Unit (TPSU). This role involves leading a team dedicated to supporting youth in the custody of the Department of Social Services (DSS) who face challenges related to placement stability.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Providing proactive coaching and feedback to promote the professional development of team members.
  • Establishing program objectives, defining roles, and prioritizing tasks for the team.
  • Ensuring effective communication across all levels to meet program needs.
  • Recruiting and selecting high-quality candidates for program staff.
  • Conducting thorough performance assessments of team members.
  • Addressing performance issues and making necessary personnel changes.
  • Fostering a collaborative and trusting work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process.
  • Maintaining adherence to internal and external standards for documentation and service delivery.
  • Acting as a role model for professionalism and teamwork within the organization.
  • Responding to client and guardian concerns effectively.
  • Serving as a liaison between Thompson, DSS, and other key stakeholders.
  • Delivering services in accordance with the TPSU four-phase model.
  • Providing a comprehensive suite of services, including 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License and meet any necessary credentialing and licensing standards. A Master's degree is required, along with residency within a specified radius to facilitate meetings with staff and stakeholders. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in Child Welfare or a related Human Services field.
  • A Master's degree with active licensure in North Carolina as an LMFT, LPA, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist.
  • Experience in leadership or management roles, including project management or training.
  • Demonstrated potential for growth and development as a leader, with relevant experience working with children and families.
