Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement technical solutions for managing networks, software, and hardware configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex system hardware and software issues.
- Train end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
- Perform advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
- Lead efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and archive operations.
- Conduct advanced audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Ensure that the performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
- Evaluate existing systems and plan long-term strategies.
- Provide guidance to less experienced professionals.
- Technical training, certification(s), or a degree.
- 5+ years of related experience as a Linux Administrator.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar relevant degree.
- Security+ Certification.
- Network+ Certification.
- Linux+ Certification.
- Additional Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, and LPIC).
