About the Role

This is a tenure or non-tenure track position, depending on the candidate's goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services to the community within the institution's small animal clinic, teaching students in clinical and lecture settings, and conducting research. Key responsibilities include receiving new cases, mentoring junior faculty and students, increasing caseload by introducing new services to clients, teaching courses within the DVM curriculum, improving system efficiencies, focusing on clinical skills and research, and participating in rounds.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, based on experience, with additional compensation through participation in the organization's incentive plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to the community within the institution's small animal clinic
  • Mentor and train students and junior faculty
  • Increase caseload by introducing new services to clients
  • Teach courses within the DVM curriculum
  • Improve system efficiencies
  • Focusing on clinical skills and research (% of each is flexible based on each candidate's interests)
  • Teach clinical skills to students and participate in rounds
  • Participate in and conduct research

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a clinical setting providing services, teaching, and research experience a plus
  • DVM or equivalent degree required
  • Board certification, or eligibility, by ACVIM or ECVIM
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to engage in a collaborative research and clinical environment
