Role Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This includes data collection, assessment, prioritization of patient needs, and evaluation of care outcomes. The nurse will also coordinate and provide patient education and oversee the care provided by the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, and develop care plans.
- Implement treatment plans and evaluate their effectiveness, ensuring safe medication administration in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Act as the primary contact for patient care coordination across various hospital departments.
- Advocate for patient safety by engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Integrate the professional practice model into daily care delivery.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of modern nursing practices and emerging innovations.
- Strong nursing judgment and skills grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences.
- Expertise in applying the nursing process to patient care.
- Ability to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Competence in evaluating nursing practices to achieve optimal outcomes.

- Commitment to patient advocacy and partnership.
- Experience in interprofessional collaboration and leadership.
- Proficiency in utilizing clinical and office technologies.

Certifications Required
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred)
- Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required)
Educational Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
- OR Diploma in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
