Job Summary

WindRiver Lakefront & Golf Community is seeking a skilled Landscape Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and integrity of our outdoor spaces. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the grounds are well-manicured, clean, and safe for our residents and guests.


Responsibilities
  • Grounds Maintenance: Provide regular cleaning and grooming of the property grounds, including trimming and maintaining foliage, and maintaining cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
  • Landscape Renovation: Maintain, repair, and renovate landscapes in an outdoor environment, including miscellaneous landscaping duties such as picking up debris, cleaning out gutters, tending to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs, trimming, and mowing lawns, applying fertilizer and insecticides, and shoveling snow when necessary.
  • Installations: Perform installs for new homes as assigned, and clear lots along the shoreline.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Always utilize machinery and equipment with care, and maintain supply inventory, tracking and reporting when additional supplies are needed.
  • Time Tracking: Track time spent on specific assignments to accurately view job costs.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for the basic maintenance of tools and equipment, and adhere to WindRiver's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required by the business.

Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Must be a minimum of 18 years old, and have 1-year experience in grounds keeping or landscaping.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer Service: Ability to greet all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with WindRiver policies and procedures.
  • Landscaping Knowledge: Basic understanding of landscaping and grounds keeping.
  • Availability: Available and willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communication: Ability to follow clear direction and communicate effectively.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work successfully on a team.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs, and stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time.
