Job Title: Staff Auditor

City National Bank & Trust is seeking a highly skilled Staff Auditor to join our team. As a Staff Auditor, you will be responsible for performing assigned audits and reports by designated deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and reviews of various types, including bank audits, branch audits, compliance audits, IT audits, loan reviews, and specialty audits.
  • Test, examine, analyze, and make recommendations to management, committees, and board of directors.
  • Submit reports and other communications to audit supervisors for review and approval.
  • Update the exception database after each report and enter management responses as soon as they are received.
  • Provide updates, status reports, schedules, and other information to supervisors as requested.
  • Apply effective and efficient time management skills to complete audits and projects on time.
  • Document, update, and maintain workpapers and reports, including exception tracking and final archiving.
  • Attend contact meetings, department meetings, team meetings, management meetings, and other meetings and discussions as assigned.
  • Attend training sessions and classes to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and regulatory requirements, including protection of information and confidentiality.
  • Travel approximately 5% of the year.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Accounting degree preferred, but business degrees or related fields with an emphasis in Accounting will be considered.
  • Experience in audit, banking regulations, lending, or accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe PDF, and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to build and work with spreadsheets.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects working as an individual or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, listen, understand, and communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Composition and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy as well as state and federal regulations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb, crouch, pull, push, lift, engage in repetitive motions, grasp, walk, touch, speak, hear, and see.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time working on a computer, attending meetings and training, and during other activities.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time observing, interviewing, conducting audits, counting cash, and other activities related to performing the audits.
  • Ability to travel in an auto, airplane, or other public transportation when attending training or conducting onsite audits at various locations locally and out of state.
