Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional care for patients of all age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nutritional screening and assessment to develop and implement ongoing nutritional care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide medical nutrition therapy and recommend patient-specific macronutrient/energy prescriptions.
  • Plan, develop, and implement nutritional education programs for in-patients, outpatients, and patient caregivers.
  • Design and develop consumer nutrition education programs and services, identifying and using evaluation criteria to assess effectiveness.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary and departmental Quality Improvement programs and special assignments as requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and completion of a one-year internship in Nutrition/Dietetics.
  • Current registration as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or eligibility.
  • Current Illinois licensure or eligibility.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and use a computer for data storage and retrieval.
