Optical Expert

Job Summary:

As an Optical Expert at EssilorLuxottica, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible vision care. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality eyewear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring their needs are met
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
• Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, and demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, with a solution-driven approach
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
• Take pride in store appearance, help to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized, and inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices
• Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
• Knowledge of current store merchandise, strong basic math skills, awareness of current fashion trends, selling skills, and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
• Embrace new technology and change, with a willingness to learn and adapt

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous customer service and retail experience
