We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at MelroseWakefield Healthcare. As a Clinical Care Specialist for Psychiatric Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with psychiatric conditions.

About the Role

This part-time position involves assisting patients through psychotherapeutic interventions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring at-risk behaviors, ensuring patient safety, and implementing appropriate precautions in a Medical-Psychiatric Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic interventions to assist patients in regaining or improving their coping abilities
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to identify and address at-risk behaviors
  • Implement safety measures to provide a secure environment for both staff and patients
  • Provide special patient precautions according to policy, including safety checks and close observation
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited and/or approved practical nurse program
  • Current license as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Current certification in CPR required
  • 2-4 years experience in healthcare and nursing services experience strongly preferred
