About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our cardiac rehabilitation program, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from heart disease and other chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement personalized exercise programs for patients with diabetes, cardiac disease, or pulmonary disease, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct clinical assessments to evaluate patients' overall health, with a focus on cardiovascular function and metabolism.
  • Develop and maintain exercise program policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
  • Provide education sessions for patients, families, and external groups on exercise and rehabilitation techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science or human movement.
  • Current certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) or Certified Exercise Specialist (CES).
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant-Registered Department of Health Washington State (preferred).
  • American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification (preferred).
  • ACSM Certification (preferred).
