Cloud Architect Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join a long-term program in support of a government program. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to architect and design cyber security solutions to be deployed into cloud-based and hybrid environments for Federal Government clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design cyber security solutions for cloud-based and hybrid environments
  • Provide technical expertise to reduce clients' cyber security risk posture
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and develop solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security technologies and best practices
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of enterprise IT architecture experience
  • 5 years of hands-on enterprise IT engineering experience
  • Experience implementing technical solutions using COTS security tools in complex cloud-based, on-premises, and hybrid environments
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, configuring, and deploying COTS solutions
  • Understanding of 2 or more of the following IT/Security functions: asset management, vulnerability management, identity and access management, network security, and data protection
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, TerraForm, Azure ARM templates
  • Understanding of Cloud Access Security Brokers, Cloud Security Posture Management, and Cloud Asset Management technologies
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and solutions
