Physician Assistant Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team as a clinical assistant professor in the physician assistant program at Drury University. This is a 12-month, full-time position that requires strong teaching, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of recent clinical practice experience or equivalent teaching experience. They will be responsible for implementing and instructing didactic year courses, serving as course director for assigned courses, providing evaluation and remediation efforts, and participating in laboratory and small group interactive sessions.
A Master's degree in PA studies, MD, or DO, pharmacology, or pathophysiology is required, along with current NCCPA certification or certification by an ABMS or AOA approved specialty board. Eligibility for Missouri state licensure as a PA is also necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and instruct didactic year courses
- Serve as course director for assigned courses
- Provide evaluation and remediation efforts
- Participate in laboratory and small group interactive sessions
- Assist in the accreditation process of the physician assistant program
- Evaluate the program's curriculum and administrative processes
- Participate in the admissions process
- Advise student academic and professional development
- Serve on committees such as the Student Progress Committee and Principal Faculty Committee
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in PA studies, MD, or DO, pharmacology, or pathophysiology
