Key Responsibilities:

  • Legacy System Transformation: Assist in the evolution of outdated systems into a modern microservice framework. Your role will involve creating and deploying applications that leverage AWS services, with a strong emphasis on AWS Lambda for serverless solutions.
  • Microservices Creation: Architect, develop, and deploy microservices to replace traditional monolithic structures. Ensure these services are built to be scalable, dependable, and secure.
  • System Integration: Seamlessly connect the new architecture with existing internal systems, facilitating efficient data exchange and interoperability. Work closely with cross-functional teams to devise and execute integration methodologies.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to streamline the deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Generate and uphold comprehensive documentation regarding system architecture, microservices, and integration points. Ensure that all documentation remains current and accessible to all relevant parties.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Cloud Engineer or Software Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS technologies.
  • Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and crafting microservices architectures.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS offerings, including Lambda, Fargate, and Aurora.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, NoSQL solutions, and real-time data processing (experience with Kafka is preferred).
  • Familiarity with GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, including tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
