Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Financial Analyst to contribute significantly to our operational success. This role is crucial in driving our organization towards enhanced value through process improvements, efficiency gains, transparency, cost reduction, and profitability enhancement. You will be responsible for establishing essential metrics that pinpoint areas for enhancement, conducting root cause analyses, implementing effective solutions, and tracking progress against our objectives while adhering to budget constraints.
This multifaceted position requires engagement in various business aspects, including opportunity assessment, bidding, project financial oversight, R&D cost management, and ownership of P&L and balance sheet elements related to your area of responsibility. Your responsibilities will vary from financial forecasting to customer invoicing and developing sophisticated pricing models to support leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a monthly business forecast incorporating inputs from various projects.
- Conduct in-depth trend and variance analyses during the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate P&L and balance sheet analytics.
- Verify the accuracy of monthly financials prior to closing.
- Provide preliminary insights to management regarding monthly financial outcomes, highlighting key drivers.
- Collaborate with business units to derive monthly closing commentary and identify variance drivers.
- Perform account reconciliations and participate in quarterly audit activities, maintaining critical controls around closing and reconciliation processes.
- Analyze historical and trend data on key business metrics such as volume, gross profit, SG&A, and cash flow.
- Develop complex pricing models and business models, analyzing Capex/Opex and SAAS revenue over time.
- Deliver financial impact analyses to business leaders based on various business models.
- Monitor labor bookings effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis.
- Proficient in digitalization and automation tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience with monthly closing activities, budgeting/forecasting, and various financial analyses including business modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent networking and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and optimizing operational performance.
- Experience with SAP, Tableau, and Power BI is a distinct advantage.
