Position Overview:
TLC Nursing is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in the Operating Room (OR) for an exciting opportunity. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
The travel nurse will be responsible for:
  1. Delivering skilled nursing care in accordance with established treatment plans.
  2. Conducting ongoing assessments of patients and their families.
  3. Communicating any changes in patient condition to the physician and nursing supervisor.
  4. Implementing preventive and therapeutic nursing measures.
  5. Educating patients on safety, medication management, and rehabilitation procedures.
  6. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  7. Maintaining professional knowledge through continuing education.
  8. Documenting nursing notes and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Collaborating effectively with facility staff and administration.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid nursing license from the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
  • Demonstrated maturity and responsibility.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of disease processes and emergency interventions.
  • Strong observational judgment and communication skills.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Completion of the agency's employment process and orientation.

Performance Expectations:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  1. Competence in providing nursing care in line with the State Nurse Practice Act.
  2. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
  3. Ongoing assessment of patients' physical, emotional, and social conditions.
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Accurate documentation of pertinent information in accordance with agency policies.
