Custodian & Building Maintenance Professional

Custodian & Building Maintenance Full-Time is a key role within the Cobb County School District, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of school facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Cleans specified areas of the building as outlined by the Principal or Head Custodian of the school.
Cares for school grounds as directed.
Changes light bulbs in ceilings up to 10 feet in height.
Cleans entire buildings regardless of ceiling heights, including dining areas.
Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate designees.

Routine physical activities are required to fulfill job responsibilities; medium to heavy physical demands; occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a shift start time of 7:00 AM and a shift end time of 3:30 PM. The job category is Custodian, and the department is Maintenance Services. The salary schedule is Classified Hourly, and the pay frequency is Bi-Weekly. The FLSA classification is Non-Exempt. The primary function is to follow a schedule for cleaning assigned building areas. The educational level required is None, and certification/license required is None. The experience required is None. The physical activities required are routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; medium to heavy physical demands; occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 75 pounds. The knowledge, skills, and abilities required are written and oral communication. The essential duties include demonstrating prompt and regular attendance, cleaning specified areas of the building, caring for school grounds, changing light bulbs, cleaning entire buildings, and performing other duties as assigned.
