Railyard Chassis Mechanic Job Description

Pacific Rail Services is seeking a skilled Railyard Chassis Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail yard equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and analyze malfunctions in rail yard equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on chassis and trailers
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a rail yard environment
  • Knowledge of shop equipment and tools
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Hostler (yard jockey) experience is a plus
