Job Summary

The City of Ferndale is seeking a Recreation Aide to assist with park and pavilion rentals, special events, and sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including setup and teardown.
  • Provide excellent customer service to park users and event participants.
  • Assist with park maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and restocking facilities.
  • Support the Recreation Manager with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with community groups and organizations to promote park events and activities.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Interact with diverse groups of people, including children, adults, and seniors.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
