Housekeeping Staff

**Job Summary:**

Tygart Hotel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. As a Part Time Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• **Clean and Maintain Hotel Rooms:** Clean and stock hotel rooms with linens, towels, and amenities, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• **Restock Housekeeping Cart:** Restock housekeeping cart with supplies and linens, and ensure that all necessary items are available for use.
• **Respond to Guest Requests:** Respond to guest requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• **Maintain Housekeeping Standards:** Maintain high standards of housekeeping, including cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, dusting and polishing furniture, and ensuring that all rooms are clean and tidy.
• **Collaborate with Housekeeping Team:** Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure that all rooms are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, and that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• **Education and Experience:** No formal education required, but prior housekeeping experience is desirable.
• **Language Skills:** Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and speak effectively with guests and supervisors.
• **Skills and Abilities:** Ability to clean and maintain hotel rooms to a high standard, self-starting personality, even disposition, and strong attention to detail.

Physical Job Requirements:

• **Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Carrying:** Required for pushing loaded supply cart, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities, and arranging drapery and replacement line.
• **Bending, Kneeling:** Required for constant bending and kneeling to clean bathrooms, vanity, and making beds, dusting.
• **Mobility:** Required for movement to reach closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under bed, behind furniture, etc.
• **Continuous Standing:** Required for walking to accomplish all tasks required for position.
• **Climbing:** Limited required for stairs.
• **Driving:** Limited required.
• **Work Environment:** 100% inside.
• **Hearing:** Minimal for communication when guests approach with requests and questions.
• **Vision:** Critical for assessing required reaction to meet standards.
• **Speech:** Minimal for utilizing alternate communication.
• **Literacy:** Critical for the ability to understand each chemical use and interaction, and for understanding daily assignment sheets.
• **Chemicals, Agents:** Required for standard Eco-Lab cleaning chemicals.
• **Protective Clothing:** Limited required.
