Job Overview

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Food Quality Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve ensuring the quality of our products by implementing policies, procedures, and activities that meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Implementation: Develop and execute plans to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards in the production process.
  • Batch Record Review: Conduct thorough reviews of Production Batch Records, including CCPs, to verify compliance and record-keeping for all manufacturing processes, quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
  • On-Hold Product Management: Oversee the on-hold product program, maintaining accurate records, releasing or destroying rejected products as needed.
  • Calibration Program: Establish and maintain an onsite calibration program for certified equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements.
  • Incoming Material Inspection: Inspect documentation for raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Testing Coordination: Arrange for third-party lab testing of incoming materials and finished goods, including other relevant testing.
  • Customer Complaint Investigations: Lead investigations into customer complaints, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Artwork Approval: Manage the artwork approval and review process, updating versions and communicating changes to vendors as necessary.
  • Document Control: Maintain site document control, updating documents, forms, procedures, policies, and registers accordingly.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Assist in new hire onboarding, ensuring smooth transition into the team.
  • Supplier and Chemical Management: Verify supplier documentation and maintain approved supplier and chemical lists, performing regular audits.
  • Training and Inventory: Coordinate training programs and conduct inventory counts of essential supplies.
  • Audit Participation: Participate in various audits, including regulatory, third-party, and customer audits.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred in food science or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity; preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of GMPs and Food Safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
