Position Overview:

This role is focused on providing exceptional cardiology services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clinical duties as well as being on call during specified hours.

Schedule:
  • Standard Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM (8 to 9-hour shifts)
  • On-Call Schedule: Nights from 5 PM to 8 AM

Call Details:
  • Call Type: Beeper
  • Call Back Percentage: 20%
  • Response Time: 20 minutes

Support Staff:
  • 2-3 Advanced Practice Providers (Monday to Friday)
  • 1 Advanced Practice Provider (Weekends)
  • Team includes: 11 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants, 2 Medical Assistants, 5 Registered Nurses, and 7 Office Staff

Facility Information:
  • Number of Beds: 10
  • Trauma Level: II

Procedures Involved:
  • Outpatient/Inpatient Cardiology
  • Noninvasive Procedures (Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology)
  • Nuclear Reads and TEE (highly preferred)

Additional Information:
  • Hospitalist will manage admissions
  • Electronic Medical Records: McKesson & Athena
  • Travel, accommodation, and malpractice insurance are provided

Requirements:
  • Active Michigan Medical License
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible
