Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our PostgreSQL databases. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and integrity of our database architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Responsible for the maintenance of production, testing, and development databases, ensuring optimal performance and integrity.
  • Database Design and Development: Supports development team from a database design and development perspective, ensuring databases meet business requirements.
  • Database Performance Tuning: Responsible for performance tuning of queries, ensuring optimal database performance.
  • Database Support: Provides support to application developers, including data refresh, SQL, MySQL, and PL/pgSQL performance tuning and best practice recommendations.
  • Code Reviews: Conducts code reviews with application developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Database Configuration Management: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of PostgreSQL architecture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Experience: Strong experience in PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: AWS Certifications a plus.
