The Oncology Nursing Specialist (RN) will operate within our Radiation Therapy department, delivering comprehensive, quality nursing care to patients and their families.

Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, the Oncology Nursing Specialist (RN) will evaluate and identify actual or potential issues a patient may face, formulate a care plan, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions throughout treatment and follow-up.

Key responsibilities include educating patients about the radiation therapy process, addressing identified learning needs, skin care, potential side effects, pain management, and nutritional requirements.

Essential nursing duties include administering medications, performing dressing changes, providing skin and wound care, suctioning, glucose monitoring, and assessing oxygen saturation levels.

Previous experience in Oncology Nursing for a minimum of two (2) years is strongly preferred.
