About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Moog as a Project Engineer in our Military Aircraft Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electromechanical hardware, including hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams through our common development process to successfully deploy test systems while maintaining budget and prescribed schedules.
  • Coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers, and others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Prepare successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volumes.
  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
  • Coordinate and support the procurement and assembly of test equipment.
  • Work closely with internal program teams to provide design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture, and interface definition, and requirements validation.
  • Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog's program scope.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or, a MS Degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding achieved through experience in the design, analysis, development, and production of complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills, both required to fulfill the demands of design and development of new products.
  • Experience with component design, development, and verification testing.
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical and programmatic information and to manage competing priorities of multiple stakeholders.
