Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the construction process.
- Guide clients through the construction journey, ensuring their preferences for upgrades and modifications are understood.
- Prepare detailed Xactimate estimates for repairs and reconstruction of properties affected by water and fire damage.
- Generate estimates based on client requests for various types of work.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to secure approval for estimates.
- Assess labor, materials, and time requirements for each project.
- Develop accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for construction projects.
- Provide clear and precise initial Xactimate estimates.
- Identify project limitations and necessary upgrades.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and subcontractors to price bid items as required.
- Document and finalize the project scope of work.
- Engage with external resources to ensure accurate estimates (e.g., Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors).
- Compile organized and precise estimates.
- Communicate estimates effectively to the Project Manager.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Xactimate construction estimating or insurance adjusting.
- Previous experience in construction management is essential.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proven track record of meeting production goals while maintaining profitability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills and Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat.
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods (i.e., driving, sitting, climbing).
- Proficiency in climbing ladders and working at heights.
- Exposure to elevated noise levels at job sites.
- Must successfully pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
