About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team in Midlothian, Virginia. This is a 13-week contract position with 36 hours of work per week.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT equipment, producing high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues to diagnose medical conditions. Key duties include positioning patients for CT scans, setting equipment controls, monitoring patient safety, and assisting radiologists with imaging procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues.
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
  • Set equipment controls and monitor patient safety during procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and label them accordingly.
  • Schedule patients for procedures and perform some clerical functions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 18 months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
  • ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification.
  • Licensure in most states.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
