KSAT Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Spacecraft Ground Systems Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the operation of various space missions through all mission phases. As a Spacecraft Ground Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the successful operation of spacecraft, including on-console vehicle support, telemetry analysis, and anomaly response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain spacecraft ground systems, including mission architectures and vehicle SOEs
  • Support program reviews and coordinate program and shift staffing and activities
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers, including procedure, script, and automation development
  • Perform telemetry analysis and anomaly response
  • Develop and execute task plans

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Must be eligible to maintain a US DoD SECRET Clearance
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the space industry, with 4+ years of demonstrated systems engineering experience
  • 3+ years of ground software development using agile processes, and 3+ years of experience with relational databases
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in at least 1 language (e.g. MATLAB, Python, Java, C++, C, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of on-console spacecraft operations experience
  • Experience developing flight software
  • Previous experience with spacecraft flight hardware
  • Previous leadership and/or management roles

Travel

  • Travel is estimated at 10%
  • Travel may be necessary to customer sites in the United States
  • Travel will be necessary to Tromsø, Norway 2-3 times per year
  • Travel to other global locations may be required on a case-by-case basis

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is between $115K - $145K. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including four weeks of PTO annually, $0 individual medical insurance with generous coverages, flexible working environment, fitness expense reimbursement program, tuition reimbursement program, and international travel opportunities.
