Dishroom Attendant

The Dishwasher is a vital member of our kitchen team at The Greene Turtle, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the dish machine in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications to ensure optimal cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
• Keep the dish machine clean and sanitized at all times, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
• Provide clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, and cookware to our kitchen staff in a timely and efficient manner.
• Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans in their designated areas, maintaining a well-organized and clutter-free environment.
• Ensure the dish area remains clean and sanitized by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness.
• Remove all garbage and recycling and place them in their designated receptacles, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
• Assist our cooks and prep cooks in labeling and storing food after each meal period, ensuring accurate and efficient food handling procedures.
• Perform all shift change and closing duties, including cleaning and sanitizing the dishroom and kitchen areas.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and positive attitude, providing excellent customer service to our guests and colleagues.
• Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments, adhering to our rigorous cleaning schedules.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires standing for 100% of the time, with occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water.
• Able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes frequently, requiring physical stamina and dexterity.
